Strictly observing traditional French wine-making techniques since our establishment in 1997, our French-imported vines have propitiously adapted to the unique terror of the Yellow Plateau of Taigu, Shanxi, where our vineyard is located. Under the guidance and active involvement of our founders, the plantings had gone through a 3-year scrupulous cultivation period before our very first vintage was produced in 2001.
Since then, committing to using the best selection of each harvest we hand-pick our grapes. After fermentation, each wine is stored in brand new oak barrels in the cellar for over 18 months. Every step of the process is under close supervision of our expert winemakers and experienced staff to ensure the quality of our wine meets international standards.
The 'Chairman's Reserve' series signifies our founder Mr. Chun-Keung Chan's commitment and determination to produce the best quality wine of China. Just as his predecessors among many world-class wineries in France, he hopes to create a legend in the wine-making industry in China that will be celebrated for generations to come.
Since its first release, our ‘Chairman's Reserve’series has received remarkable praise and recognition at home and abroad. Featuring more than once in her column, world-leading wine expert Lady Jancis Robinson (OBE) held high opinions and highly recommended this series to wine lovers worldwide.
Grace Vineyard's ‘Chairman's Reserve’ is made from top-class Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes. Like all other top wines in the world, natural sediment will appear in the wine after a certain time of storage. This wine should age for 10 years or over.
